Termination

Limitation of Liability

Notwithstanding any damages that You might incur, the entire liability of the Company and any of its suppliers under any provision of this Terms and Your exclusive remedy for all of the foregoing shall be limited to the amount actually paid by You through the Service or 100 USD if You haven’t purchased anything through the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data or other information, for business interruption, for personal injury, loss of privacy arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the Service, third-party software and/or third-party hardware used with the Service, or otherwise in connection with any provision of this Terms), even if the Company or any supplier has been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if the remedy fails of its essential purpose. Without limiting the foregoing, neither the Company nor any of the company’s provider makes any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied: (i) as to the operation or availability of the Service, or the information, content, and materials or products included thereon; (ii) that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (iii) as to the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information or content provided through the Service; or (iv) that the Service, its servers, the content, or e-mails sent from or on behalf of the Company are free of viruses, scripts, trojan horses, worms, malware, timebombs or other harmful components. Governing Law

The laws of the Country, excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern this Terms and Your use of the Service. Your use of the Application may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.

Disputes Resolution

If You have any concern or dispute about the Service, You agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the Company.

For European Union (EU) Users

If You are a European Union consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which You are resident.

United States Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) You are not located in a country that is subject to the United States government embargo, or that has been designated by the United States government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and (ii) You are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Severability and Waiver

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Except as provided herein, the failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under these Terms shall not affect a party’s ability to exercise such right or require such performance at any time thereafter nor shall the waiver of a breach constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.

Translation Interpretation

These Terms and Conditions may have been translated if We have made them available to You on our Service. You agree that the original English text shall prevail in the case of a dispute.

Changes to These Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material We will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at Our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use Our Service after those revisions become effective, You agree to be bound by the revised terms. Electrical Work: Service Agreement

This agreement governs electrical work arranged through MJM Electrical Service and applies together with the general Terms and Conditions posted on this website. Booking a job means you accept both. It is laid out so the expectations around safety, access, and cost are clear before an electrician arrives.

Booking and Timing

MJM Electrical Service makes reasonable efforts to honor the appointment window set at booking. That window can shift with availability, weather, road conditions, or how long earlier calls run, and we give you as much notice as we can when it does. Emergency and after-hours requests are accommodated where possible, but a specific response time cannot be promised.

Powering Down for Safe Work

Much of this work requires cutting power to part or all of the property while it is underway. Please plan around an outage by protecting sensitive electronics, backing up anything time-critical, and arranging ahead of time for equipment that must stay powered, such as medical devices. Let us know in advance if a continuous supply is essential so the work can be staged safely.

Reaching the Panel and Work Areas

On the service date, the panel, outlets, fixtures, and any other areas to be worked on need to be locatable and clear, indoors and out. Unlock gates, garages, basements, attics, and crawl spaces along the route, secure any animals, and move stored items away from the immediate work zone. Areas blocked by clutter, heavy storage, or locked enclosures can add time and may add cost, as set out further down.

Conditions That Pause the Work

MJM Electrical Service may decline or postpone service when a site is unsafe or unsuitable for electrical work. That includes, among other things, flooding or standing water near electrical equipment, hazardous materials in the work area, aggressive or unsecured animals, severe weather affecting outdoor work, or no safe way to reach the areas in question. Rescheduling forced by these conditions may carry a trip charge or rescheduling fee.

Licensed Work, Codes, and Permits

Electrical work arranged through MJM Electrical Service is performed by licensed electricians and follows the local, state, and federal electrical codes that apply. Where a permit or inspection is required, it is handled to the local jurisdiction's requirements, and any related fees may be billed to you. Please disclose known issues up front, such as prior unpermitted work, aluminum branch wiring, or wiring that has given trouble, so reasonable precautions can be taken. MJM Electrical Service is not responsible for pre-existing code violations or for hidden conditions inside walls, panels, or wiring that could not reasonably be found before work began.

What a Standard Call Covers

A standard call covers diagnosis along with the agreed installation or repair, which may include electrical troubleshooting, breaker panel and service upgrades, outlet and switch installation, indoor and outdoor lighting, ceiling fans, wiring and rewiring, dedicated appliance circuits, whole-home surge protection, EV charger installation, and backup generator hookups, so long as the targeted areas can be reached during the visit. When the work is finished, you receive a service ticket recording the date, what was done, and any follow-up the electrician suggests.

Outside an Electrical Call

Some work falls outside an electrical visit. MJM Electrical Service does not install or repair heating and cooling equipment such as furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, or thermostats, and does not handle appliance repair, drywall or finish carpentry, or major structural work. Where electrical work is needed in connection with any of these, it is quoted separately.

Opening Surfaces and Buried Lines

Reaching wiring can mean working at the panel and in attics, crawl spaces, basements, walls, garages, and interior rooms. MJM Electrical Service takes reasonable care to keep disturbance to a minimum, but you acknowledge that opening walls or ceilings to run or repair wiring, and minor movement of stored items, can be a normal part of the job. MJM Electrical Service is not responsible for incidental impact to lawns, landscaping, sprinkler systems, invisible fencing, or other buried or unmarked features. If you know where such features run, please flag them before the service date.

Workmanship and Callbacks

MJM Electrical Service stands behind the workmanship on completed jobs and will make reasonable efforts to address an issue tied to the work performed within a reasonable time. Because outcomes also depend on the age and condition of existing wiring, the panel, and other components outside the scope of the work, following the electrician's recommendations affects how well a fix holds.

Costs Beyond the Standard Call

A few situations add to the standard call. The most common are:

• Extensive repairs, rewiring, or upgrades that need extra materials or labor
• Hard-to-reach work in attics, crawl spaces, or finished walls and ceilings
• Permit and inspection fees set by the local jurisdiction
• Trip charges for sites that are inaccessible, unsafe, or otherwise not serviceable
• Short-notice rescheduling
• Emergency or after-hours requests
• Specialty equipment or work beyond a standard service call

Wherever practical, added charges are explained before the extra work proceeds and billed on the terms MJM Electrical Service provides.

Payment

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due on completion of the work, using the methods given at booking. If you question a charge, raise it with MJM Electrical Service within a reasonable time so it can be checked against the service ticket and the electrician's notes.

Your Agreement and Outside Contractors

By booking electrical service with MJM Electrical Service, you confirm you have read, understood, and accepted these terms together with the general Terms and Conditions on this website. When demand, scheduling, or availability calls for it, MJM Electrical Service may arrange an independent third-party electrical contractor to carry out the work. That contractor is independent and is not an employee or agent of MJM Electrical Service, and you are responsible for confirming the provider holds the licenses, insurance, and permits the job requires in your area. Not following these terms can lead to service being declined, rescheduled, or charged differently.

This site is a free service to assist homeowners in connecting with local service contractors. All contractors are independent and this site does not warrant or guarantee any work performed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to verify that the hired contractor furnishes the necessary license and insurance required for the work being performed. All persons depicted in a photo or video are actors or models and not contractors listed on this site.
